On this episode of Get the Balance Right, we are joined by Jeff Meade the founder of The Meade Company, a management consulting firm for small to mid-sized marketing and advertising agencies. In this episode we explore Jeff’s fascinating past when he created a market research company focused on the urban multicultural youth market, which was under served. Jeff went on to build and contribute to other marketing ventures before starting Meade, where he helps creative agencies grow their businesses.

Jeff’s approach to positioning starts with the question, “what do you want to be famous for?” We discussed the importance of becoming an expert and building a clear positioning strategy, as the foundation for growth and longevity. Jeff explains efficiently alone is never enough, firms must differentiate and specialize themselves, to avoid always competing on price.
